For vegetarians, there is a creative carvery option featuring roasted vegetables and homemade sauces, which also receives much praise. The sides, such as crispy roast potatoes and creamy cauliflower cheese, are freshly prepared and perfectly complement the meat dishes. For dessert, the Biscoff cheesecake stands out, with its sweet, caramel note and velvety consistency making it a popular ending to the meal.

2nd time being here this year and 1st time I came there was a problem with the gas in kitchen so only carvery was available, we were not informed of this prior to coming. 2nd time coming, got to the bar to order, no fizzy drinks available as was told someone had broke the machine, and took a while to order as loads of things from the children's menu were not available. Has put me off coming again.

as a spur of the moment decision, went for carvery Sunday afternoon about 5.00pm. Very busy and queue for carvery was very long. We waited 15 mins to get served in line ( trouble was if you did not join queue it did not get shorter ).Was disappointed with food. Four of us ordered carvery and not one of us finished it. I accept it was busy and batch cooking, but food was bland and Yorkshire although large was very stodgy in inside actually under cooked. Potatoes were hard inside, would not recommend to anyone.

Great place Great food. Staff are nice. If like us you end up waiting a few moments for the chef. Give that bar staff a nod and they will literally shout the chef. (Trust me it's funny and made me smile 😃)

Carvery wasn't very good but I find nothing beats a home made roast dinner anyway. Lovely staff and the drinks were resnubley priced.

Went to Caister castle for my 60th birthday meal with 7 members of my family & while 2 had a carvery & 1 had steak meal and said they enjoyed what they had myself & my brother in law had the stacked Burgers with chips they were terrible the chips were luke warm & dry but the Burgers themselves were like charcoaled leather & the toasted brioche bun was burnt underneath & my mum had the large fish & chips which she said was also dry and hard so basically not impressed I should have complained but I just won't be going back anytime soon.

Visited for Sunday Sunday carvery. Picked just the right time to go in as plenty of tables to pick from. After a while it got very busy as we've seen before, it does on a Sunday. One of the best we've had. Food/plates lovely and hot. Choice of 5 meats and great selection of vegetables too. Massive yorkshire pudding. Reasonable price especially for a Sunday. Wasn't our first visit and will definitely be back again soon.

Very disappointed. We have previously been here at Christmas with no complaints, but this time was not as good. Service had to be reminded for drinks to start, huge queue for carvery, then didn’t receive our coffee and mince pie at the end of the meal, even though we did ask twice. In the end we just left, wasn’t worth waiting for.
